Hufford’s Story

Shane and Meredith Hufford

I traveled to IAA with my wife in the summer of 2018. Being my first time in Kenya, I didn’t know what to expect, but looking back, this once in a lifetime opportunity was unforgettable. One of our team’s projects was to share the love of God with children in a local school. The smiles on the kids’ faces had a tremendous impact on me. Their great joy amid the difficult circumstances of their lives helped to put my own problems in perspective. This alone showed me how God blesses us exceedingly and abundantly more than we deserve.

Spending time at Into Abba’s Arms was equally impactful. While loving on the kids and doing various projects around the campus, I made friendships that I know will last a lifetime. The love in this place is palpable and a foretaste of what we will experience when we get to heaven. House parents, cooks, staff, and children became fast friends and gave us a window into their lives. I look forward to the day when we can return to Into Abba’s Arms and again spend time with these lovely people!
