Milka is
adorable, quite and obedient. She has a good disposition and a
bright little Kikuyu face with twinkling eyes. She smiles a lot
and loves to be cuddled. She has a laugh that just melts you.
She is very curious and loves to tease.
Milka was taken from her
home where her mother is dying of Aids and was unable to care
for her. Neighbors said she was often seen digging through the
village garbage for food. She was afraid of us, and any other
white person, the first day, but since she has been at IAA she
is starting to adjust quickly.
Milka has older siblings
that have been taken in by a friend of Mama Jane’s who runs an
orphanage for older children just up the road from IAA.
Theresia and Maggie (her new sisters) talked to her about being
at IAA and she said she thought she would like to stay. She said
it was very clean and there is plenty to eat.
